INFOFISH is pleased to announce Ms. Susan Jackson, President of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF), as Chairperson, and Dr. Adisorn Promthep, Advisor to the Thai Tuna Industry Association, as Co-Chair for the 19th INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference & Exhibition (TUNA 2026), taking place from 14-16 September 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. As the global tuna sector navigates rapid transformation, including evolving market expectations, climate variability, supply chain disruptions, and technological innovation, the leadership of TUNA 2026 brings together two distinguished figures at the forefront of sustainability, fisheries policy, and international trade.

The global tuna sector is operating in a period of rapid change, shaped by evolving market expectations, technological innovation, environmental challenges, and growing demands for transparency and accountability. Continued progress will depend on science-based decision-making, innovation, and collaboration across governments, industry, scientists, and supply chain stakeholders. TUNA 2026 provides an important forum to examine emerging challenges and identify practical solutions that strengthen the resilience and sustainability of tuna value chains worldwide.

Against the backdrop of climate variability, market volatility, and geopolitical pressures on shipping and energy costs, the theme of TUNA 2026 is both timely and essential. It is critical that industry players and supply chain partners come together to synergize their collective strengths and address these challenges in a unified manner.
